Playback Policy

MetisTools provides browser-based video playback testing tools for public or authorized links. Please review these guidelines before testing M3U8, MP4 or MPEG-DASH content.

1. Test Only Authorized Content

Only test video links that you own, manage or have permission to access. Do not use our tools to test copyrighted, private, confidential or restricted content without authorization.

2. Respect Terms of Service

Ensure your use of video content complies with the terms of service of the content provider and any applicable laws in your jurisdiction.

3. No Redistribution

Our tools are for browser playback testing only. Do not use them to download, convert, capture, redistribute or obtain video content without permission. Embedding the player does not give you permission to use or share videos you do not own or have permission to use. Embedded players may still expose stream URLs to viewers or browser developer tools.

4. No Bypass or Circumvention

MetisTools does not bypass CORS, DRM, license servers, login requirements, token rules, geo restrictions, private access controls, copyright restrictions or source website permissions. If a stream is protected or restricted, use the proper authorized playback workflow provided by the content owner.

5. Playback Results Are Browser-Side Signals

Playback Log entries and error messages are browser-side diagnostic signals. They can help identify likely issues, but they do not replace source server logs, CDN diagnostics, DRM license checks or full streaming infrastructure monitoring.
